A well-respected, trusted professional with inspiring passion, is how one could best describe Matthew Newman, a native of suburbia Houston, TX. Upon completion of high school, Newman furthered his education at The University of Texas at San Antonio, as a three-year graduate. He holds a B.B.A. in Business Marketing.
Matthew is owner and president of natural and organic lawn maintenance company, My Lawn Mower & Me, with operations in Dallas/Ft. Worth, and founder and director of #FoodforCompost; an organic compost non-profit corporation with an aim to help meet local and state waste reduction goals. Because of his efforts in the community, Newman's company was recognized as the winner of the inaugural Greater East Dallas Chamber's Lake & Garden Districts People's Choice Business of the Year. In addition, My Lawn Mower & Me was selected for the 2015 Dallas Awards for Landscaping.
He is also owner of The Brand Pillars, LLC, an experiential marketing staffing agency laser-focused on giving clients complete access and control to highly trained and qualified personnel.
Newman has served a variety of industries, freelance, since 2006. Notable work includes educational consulting with The Wall Street Journal, Independent Associate with LegalShield, Logistics Coordinator with Lexus, managing and producing a national Experiential (XM) development with Samsung Electronics America, Inc., and most recently managing mentor recruiting efforts for Big Brothers Big Sisters' Lonestar BIGS in Blue mentoring program.
With the belief that recognition always follows those that follow their passion and purpose, Newman has been featured in both the White Rock Lake and Park Cities editions of Dallas Morning News, Advocate Lakewood/East Dallas, Focus Daily News, and other news sources. As of January 2015, Matthew Newman was announced “Big Brother of the Year, Dallas County” with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Newman has served as mentor to his Little brother, Anthony Battle, since December 2009. In June 2014, both Matthew and Anthony were announced as the May 2014 Big Brothers Big Sisters Community Service Challenge Winners.
Matthew is known by his zeal. He is one that is driven by driving others towards purpose and passion.
Matthew Newman now resides in Inglewood, CA and is pursuing a Masters of Arts degree in Christian Leadership from Criswell College.
